Can you quit smoking via hypnosis?

Stop Smoking Hypnosis CD / MP3

One of the most difficult things to accomplish in one’s daily life is to quit smoking cigarettes.  The mere notion of giving up those tightly rolled chemically-drenched tobacco sticks of cancer dread can overwhelm a person’s waking life and flood nighty-nighty time with sickly nightmarish mirages of hell and damnation whether during REM or bouts of insomnia.  This could be due to a variety of cause-and-effect chain-gang like shackles, such as previous nasty encounters with trying to quit smoking, witnessing the difficulty others experience in going cold turkey on the Marlboro Man (who died of lung cancer, by the way) or living in fear that you will no longer be the same noirishly cool character without a fag hanging from one corner of your mouth while speaking cynically out of the other corner about that possibility that you might quit smoking the damn things to the femme fatale who offered the smoke to you in the first place (if you happen to be a guy).  However, despite these abhorrent misgivings, hypnotherapy may give you the strength of mental clarity to realize that resistance against your cravings need not be futile, that the truth is not only out there, somewhere, but inside your own mind, and that you stand a much greater chance of quitting by giving into said hypnotherapy.

Anyone, even abnormally prescient toddlers with 200+ IQs who just can’t stop worrying about the future and started stealing Auntie Esther’s Virginia Slims at six months of age, can quit smoking via the Stop Smoking Hypnosis program if these individuals stick with said program and maintain the requisite focused intent, this constructive and pro-active intention being that the person genuinely wishes to quit smoking and never pick the measly habit up again even in the event of a zombie apocalypse or any other end-of-the-world scenario.  Hypnosis cannot be forced upon someone, nor can it be employed effortlessly as some sort of mindless tool — you still need to want to change and must put in a certain degree of effort to make the whole thing groove to success.

Actually, though, there is no need to panic at that thought in that when used properly, hypnosis can be a more natural approach to quit smoking than the use of nicotine patches or threats from Auntie Esther that she will gut you like a stinking rat if she ever catches you snagging one of her Virginia Slims again.

Using hypnosis will help you quit smoking in a few different manners.

Primarily it will help by boosting your strength of will and mental strength. It will help keep you strong against urges. This is the main benefit people use hypnosis for — to gain that advantage and that mental edge. Because of this it can be used as an “emergency” tool to use when you feel tempted

It helps you to stay realistic, and to actually think different about smoking. Other than thinking of the advantages, or enjoyment of having a cigarette you will start to think more about the health effects, and the disadvantages of smoking. The more you alter your thinking in this way the easier it will be to quit.

Hypnosis also has a cumulative effect. The more you listen the more benefit you will get as the hypnotic suggestions penetrate deep into your mind, build and build, and change the way you think, feel and act on a deeper level.

Give Stop Smoking Hypnosis a go and your new attempt to quit smoking cigarettes, and even cigars, or pipes with cherry-flavored tobacco, will provide you with an advantage to quit smoking that stands a far greater possibility of success than ever before!

  2. What is Hypnosis?

    So, what is hypnosis anyway?

    Here is an official definition:

Hypnosis is the induction of a state of consciousness in which a person loses the power of voluntary action and is especially susceptible to suggestion or direction.

Going into a bit more detail, one could say that hypnosis is often over-exaggerated, but the term hypnosis is used to describe a trance-like state.

Actually, people go in and out of mild trances or hypnosis type states every day, such as those moments when the mind wanders and you are daydreaming, or even when you just shut the world out and focus deeply on a good novel being read.

These trance-like states are organic and natural.  All hypnosis does is purposefully put you into one of these mild trance states, and over time a hypnotist can then plant simple, beneficial messages into the subconscious mind.

Although you might not remember everything which is said to you once you enter a trance, you are not actually asleep.  Hypnosis is a wakeful state in which you are both deeply calm yet have a heightened level of suggestibility and a concentrated awareness.

Due to this heightened mind-set, you can use hypnosis to rewire your self beliefs and patterns of thinking.

To sum up briefly, it is often said that hypnosis gains access to the unconscious mind to get rid of the negative beliefs which hinder personal growth.

What can be done about hypnosis?

Hypnosis has a good reputation for treating phobic disorders and fears, or at least this is how it started out.  It has also been used with great success for weight loss and for giving up smoking.

Hypnosis is now used for the elimination of almost any bad belief, it is used in a wide range of health problems, and is massively effective for bettering self beliefs such as self esteem and confidence.

  4. Occupy Consciousness

The Occupy Consciousness movement is absorbing the 1%.

Some people call this magic.  Bruce Lipton says that it is a natural progression.  I conjecture that to occupy consciousness is the evolution of God.
No, wait a minute I think I got that the other way around.  What I meant to say is that

I conjecture that to occupy the evolution of consciousness is God.

No, that’s not either.  God occupies the consciousness of evolution.
    Yeah, there, that’s it.
No, no , that doesn’t even make any sense.  At least, I don’t think it does.

  5. Pets and Stress

Posted on November 9th, 2011 by Douglas Ellsworth

Anyone who has ever had a pet that she or he loved and who was loved by that pet will understand that a pet can be an excellent resource for the reduction of stress, anxiety and depression.  Anyone else, those who have never realized such a pet relationship, one of mutual love and appreciation, can also understand how important a pet can be in helping with those negative emotions just mentioned.  Unless of course you are a complete and total asshole, and it doesn’t matter in that case because there is no hope for you so you might as well commit suicide and get the hell off of our planet and stop breathing our valuable air.  Just don’t leave a mess for others to clean up.  But you probably will because you’re an asshole.

For the rest of us, those with pets they love that love you you back, and those without pets but who get the gist of this message, check out this little process meant to be applied in case a stressful bout of anxious angst takes hold.  In the event that you decide to implement this process but you don’t have a pet ready and available, first go get one.  Any pet will do, as long as it is a loving pet and not too large, say like the size of a baby elephant.  If the pet is a fish, be aware that the pet may die during this process, but it will not be dangerous for you unless you are simultaneously handling large machinery of some type and suffering from a grand mal seizure.

Okay then.  Here’s the step-by-step procedure.

Get pet.  Place pet in lap.  Command faithful pet to stay.  Place stereo headphones over ears.  Begin 30-minute isochronic tone alpha brainwave entrainment preset.  Turn sound volume up and as loud as possible while still being comfortable.  Concentrate on breathing deeply and slowly.  Breathe in through nose and out through mouth.  Pet pet.  End session.  Remove headphones.  Set pet on floor.  Command faithful pet to stay.  Wait one hour but continue breathing.  Pick up pet.  Return pet to lap and command faithful pet to stay.  Replace headphones over ears.  Begin 30-minute binaural beat alpha brainwave entrainment preset.  Turn sound volume down and as low as possible until barely perceptible.  Repeat previous breathing pattern.  Pet pet.  End session.  Remove headphones.  Place pet on floor.  Reward pet.  Rinse and repeat for thirty days.  Calculate new stress level threshold.  Tell others about this.

Final note.  In case you did not get this part, the headphones go over your ears, not the pet’s.  In general, pet’s are not really into wearing headphones.
