The Caw of Inaction vs the Law of Attraction

Posted on June 14th, 2011 by Douglas Ellsworth

It has been said that much has been said concerning the Law of Attraction and the process of manifesting your intentions into reality. I’m just saying.  I mean, I saw it said somewhere, probably on the Internet and probably in an article that may seem, if looked at closely, like between the lines and all, a lot like this one, with the article saying how others have said the same thing about how it’s said about the Law I was just saying something about . . . that, uh, yeah . . . well, stuff has been said about it before.  Apparently this is a reality, the repeat saying that is, about, well, reality, or the making of it at any rate.  Using the Law of Attraction, in case you missed that part.  To manifest stuff.  Real stuff.  Into reality.  Really.

Anyway, there is a reason for this law, and that reason is that there is something to be governed by it, this something being an action.  No, wait a minute, it’s not an action, it’s an intention.  Well, maybe it’s an emotion.  I suppose it is rather important to have some idea about what this law governs because there are any number of contingencies that come into play when you go about manifesting anything you may think of.  Oh, hey!  That’s it, manifesting stuff into reality, that’s what the law governs!  Right, right.

Okay, so.  Where was I then . . . contingencies?  I guess the emotion, the intention and the action are the contingencies.  Or at least some of them since there are actually a whole bunch of them – I think that’s what “any number of” indicates.  So, emotion and intention and action are three of the many contingencies that come into play in regard to how the Law of Attraction governs the manifestation of a reality.  That seems pretty clear.  It seems pretty familiar, too, actually, now that I think about it.  I must have heard somebody say something like that somewhere some time or something.

But before I get too carried away here with these contingency things, I want to make something else absolutely clear, and that is that you must be totally clear concerning what you want with this manifestation business because, after all, it is a law. All right, it’s not one of those authoritative type laws, you know, like from “authority figures”, where you are in deep doo-doo for violating it, like crossing the street when you’re not supposed to or speaking out of turn in class, or murder or something.  No, this law is more like something to do with Nature, like the rain, like when it rains you’re going to get wet if you’re standing there in the rain while it’s raining.  Not that you have to stand in the rain and get wet.  There’s nothing in this law that says you can’t use an umbrella if you have one, or a covering, like a rooftop structure, say, for a gazebo in the park, for instance.  Of course if the bench in the gazebo is all wet because it’s a heavy rain and it’s blowing sideways because of strong winds (which is probably another, similar one of these Nature type of laws), and you sit down on the bench, your butt is going to get wet even if you are both holding the umbrella over your head and standing under the gazebo roof.  Or sitting under it in this case, actually, because of the bench, and your butt.  That’s all just common sense.

Yeah!  There we go!  It’s a common sense kind of law. It’s also common sense to recognize the imperative impact of specificity and clarity by means of the written word in that by writing down your “desire”, your “want”, your “intent”, on a piece of paper with a pen or pencil – why, you could carve it in stone with a chisel if so inclined – it is then further etched in your mind’s eye, which by thus seeing the sharp edges of printed thought makes said desire yet again even more precise (specificity) and evident (clarity) for the Universe to pick up on in the process of bringing it out under, or perhaps that should be into, the light of day, and/or dark of night, like at dusk or dawn (speaking of being clear and specific) and into your welcoming sense of manifested reality.

For instance, let’s say that you desire a ton of money.  In order to manifest this moolah, you are gonna have to be clear about a few things.  Recognizing that one ton is already a very precise weight measurement, and that therefore you do not need to be any more specific about how heavy your desire is, so to speak, you will still need to specify the currency, denomination and material, that is, bills or coins.  Maybe even the minting date.  Bear in mind that some really old coins can fetch a pretty penny.  Of course if you were going that type of coin route, you’d have to conjure up an awful lot of antique coins to constitute a ton’s worth, and then the currency may not be as important.  I personally have no idea whether one 1819 Pfennig from Frankfurt is more valuable than an 1877 US Indian Penny.  Actually, now that we are on the subject, it may be in your best interest to forget about coins and just stick with paper.  By being so clear and specific about a ton of coins, you may end up with a very confusing situation.  Not to mention trying to find the right coin collector later to deal with this numismatics nightmare.  Although I suppose you could manifest up a coin collector too.  Just be clear about whether it is a male or female coin expert, and if it’s a guy, does he sport a mustache, have a bicep tattoo, those kinds of things.  Eye color, hair color, ethnicity, all that.  Still, I’d stick with paper money.  The British pound rather than the Indian rupee, probably.  Failing that, perhaps the US dollar over the Italian lira, since a ton’s worth of one-hundred dollar bills generally has a lot more value than a ton of £50-notes.  More bang for your buck, in other words.  But I imagine that you get the picture.  Be extremely detailed and clear and precise and specific and certain about what you want.

Another quite necessary aspect to this angle, perhaps one of the most important points in fact, is to consider how you are probably going to feel once you have all this nice cash in your possession.  That’s right, what emotional high will you sustain as a filthy rich individual?  If you can imagine the glory of that feeling, then imagine you feel that way already as you focus on manifesting your desire to be wealthy.  This emotional feeling will help you in a very powerful way to work with the universe to attract or manifest what you want.  It is the vitality of this feeling that is the source

of energy that the universe uses to manifest your desire.

Can you see that we are not kidding around now?  This is serious stuff.  This is the nitty gritty.  This is the cow’s meow.  You didn’t know that the cow can be one really cool cat, did you?  A deep and reverberating moo is just a hint of a meow waiting to manifest.  And its very emotive.  That’s the feeling you want to imagine you will have when your own manifestation is realized.  I kid you not.  It is in your best interest to believe.  To have faith that this works.  That’s because another element that plays a major role in attracting your desire is your belief.

Beliefs develop from experiences in our lives.  Each of these events carries along with it an emotional feeling.  This emotional feeling determines the belief at a cellular level.  Some beliefs serve us, others do not.  Many of these beliefs are unconscious habits of doing and thinking operating on a subconscious level.  If your beliefs, either conscious or unconscious, do not align with your desires, it is likely that you will not attract what you are looking for, or you will have to work much harder at getting what you desire.  And that would be a bummer.

The last past to manifesting your desire is to let go.  Yes, let go of the emotional connection to what you want and allow the universe to deliver it to you.  This is the tricky part.

It has been said somewhere: “Ask and it is given.”  You may expect this to happen right away. If you don’t see what you have asked for within thirty seconds to an hour, doubt may begin to have its nefarious way with you.  However, oft times a desire will show up when you are preoccupied with something else and have taken your mind off that desire for the blink or two of an eye.  And then all of a sudden, that desire magically appears.

Quantum Physics tells us that as you observe something, the thing you observe will react to your observation.  Therefore, if you hold on to what you want with a fear it may never happen, this may prevent it from manifesting itself into your life.

So in conclusion, the Law of Attraction happens like this.  First, you ask for that which you desire as clearly as you can.  Next, the universe will do its magic to give it to you.  Last, you must meander along the Dao Path of “letting go” and allow yourself to receive it.  The Law of Attraction and the manifestation process is a natural law that works constantly whether for good or for bad, so paying close attention to your thoughts and feelings and making sure you let go and receive is the way to roll.
