Learning About Stress

&

How to Manage It

What do you know about stress?

A certain amount of stress in your life is normal, and some types of stress are even beneficial; it gives you that survival edge at times of hazardous hindrance.  Chronic stress, on the other hand, is something that is always harmful and needs to be addressed.  This condition does nothing to actually help you deal with any external problems; on the contrary, it gradually makes you less effective at coping, which is why you have to find ways to reduce or eliminate chronic stress by learning about stress, about the signs and symptoms of stress,  and how to cope with stress, how to deal with it.  Below are some proven methods showing how to manage chronic stress and anxiety in your life.  Chronic tension could be as a result of a variety of factors, but overcoming it early is essential.
Don’t be a perfectionist, and don’t worry about stress.  Many people set such high standards for themselves that it’s almost as if they expect perfection from themselves.  If they base their entire sense of self worth on reaching such impossible goals, they end up going through life feeling like a failure much of the time and always concerned about stress overload.  Looking at things this way can make you feel depressed, anxious and stressed out.  It’s fine to set perfection as your goal as long as you recognize that this isn’t realistic — otherwise, you’ll always be disappointed and frustrated.  You can aim high, but recognize that perfection is something seldom achieved.  Try to look at things in a more optimistic light, and don’t be so quick to criticize yourself.  A task that has been completed well is better than a task you never finish because you are afraid it won’t be done perfectly.  When you are learning about stress and how to manage it, these types of fear gradually fade away.

What is it about stress that drives people to distraction and makes them forget about –

Music?!!!??!!?

Music therapy is a great form of stress relief and widely used to help people overcome stressful situations.  Music therapy is a sort of therapy in which building blocks of music and musical experience is employed to aid individuals in meeting the goals they have set.  Music has statistically shown that it can be soothing and enlightening, which in turn can lift you up and give you a positive outlook about the situation you are in.  It’s a form of therapy that is effective for people of all ages, including children.  This includes playing  an instrument, creating songs or just listening to your favorite music.  Don’t know how to play an instrument?  Take a class.  Arrange a weekly class and it will provide you with a period where you have some personal “me time”.  One will discover that enclosing oneself in music is a wonderful course of action to take in eliminating chronic stress, and your self-esteem will grow by leaps and bounds.  When your difficulties are basically all about stress, music is the key to set you free.

Don’t keep your emotions to yourself.  One thing you should avoid doing if you’re suffering from what plagues you about  stress is keeping everything to yourself, maybe because you’re afraid others don’t want to hear about your problems.  If you pretend that nothing is wrong, the stress won’t just go away — it will probably only get worse.  You should try to be yourself as much as possible, as it’s impossible to make everyone else happy.  There’s nothing to be gained by putting on a fake smile and not showing your true feelings, such as when someone does something that bothers or upsets you.  There are a lot of aspects about stress that might turn you into some type of sacrificial lamb on the altar of guilt and despair, but it’s not worth sacrificing your health by always trying to please everyone around you, so just be yourself, and in most cases others will like and respect you for this.

Just Forget About Stress and Focus on Now

Chronic stress is a common issue today, and it’s something you should never ignore; the above-mentioned points are some strategies for getting stress under control and relaxing when tension looms.  There are many resources for dealing with how to manage stress if you feel you need help, so don’t hesitate to seek the help of your doctor, therapist or a support group.

But at the end of the day, you already know, your intuition tells, it’s not really about stress, it’s not about depression, it’s not about anxiety, it’s all about you, and what you MUST do to avoid problems like stress and anxiety and depression.  To find out how brainwave entrainment can help you resolve these sorts of stress-related, angst-creating anxious attacks of fear and depression, you really want to go here now.  Or click on the banner below to find out all about the benefits of brainwave entrainment:
